  • Amazing performances by ALL! I love you guys! Congratulations on a job well done.

Welcome!!!

Welcome parents and actors! You have stumbled upon the site of the North Kingstown Dramatics Program where you will find any and all information regarding the program as well as current and past shows.

Started in 2004 with the classic production of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” the program quickly gained momentum and became a much anticipated after school activity. The following year garnished new talent, which allowed the production of “Annie Jr.” to become a huge success and brought many faces into the audience. With a new year came a new show, and a larger number of extremely talented kids. “The Sound of Music” became our biggest and most challenging show to date, but that didn’t stop us. 2007's performance of "Cinderella" proved that with time comes greatness. :) Following "Cinderella" was the much anticipated production of "The Wizard of Oz" in 2008. The show was another success.

Beauty and the Beast Jr. was simply the best show yet as it incorporated many wonderful kids into fabulous costumes and voices. Now for a much needed break before the next production. 2010 will bring us another wonderful show and more talented kids. So we look forward to Alice in Wonderland Jr.

THE DIRECTOR:

Lindsay Dias graduated from Salve Regina University with a minor in Theatre Arts. She had worked with her mother in the past, assisting her with the production of “James and the Giant Peach” at Our Lady of Mercy elementary school in East Greenwich. From that moment she knew she wanted to work with kids so when Mari told her about the opportunity ahead Lindsay jumped at the chance. She started off as assistant-director / choreographer with “Charlie” and from there climbed the ladder to directing her first production of “The Sound of Music.” The past couple of years she wrote and directed her very own projects, "Conversations" and "The Bewitching Hour," which couldn't have gone any better! She now takes the wheel as the Director of the North Kingstown Drama Program and is highly anticipating 2009 as the best year yet!

THE PRODUCER:

Mari Nardolillo-Dias, EDD had directed many children in the past. She worked with St. Mary's School in Cranston as well as the various schools in North Kingstown, so when she was asked by the North Kingstown Recreation Department to head a theatre program for local children she jumped at the opportunity. Being in plays herself, she knew exactly what to do with the kids and she has been a major influence in their lives. With her busy schedule she had decided to step down as Director and leave the program to her daughter Lindsay. She is staying on as producer to help with the business end of the program
